Bounty Hunter is the first ever 43 ft O’Brien, built in Townsville with the thrill of fishing in mind.
From 2018 – 2019 she has under gone extensive refitting to accommodate the pleasures of Black Marlin fishing. Bounty Hunter has a practical fishing layout while still achieving angler comforts of air-conditioning and direct angling action with an open rear bulk head.
Bounty Hunter is a Cairns locally owned and run vessel. Owned by Cairns SIM Trans, who specialises in Diesel Engine & Transmission repairs. The proprietor of Bounty Hunter is Cairns born and bred and has had a passion for fishing for Black Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna and other ocean trophies since the time he could walk. Bounty Hunter is the pride of our business fleet with no costs spared in keeping her in prime fishing condition.

Accommodations
Bounty Hunter is surveyed to travel with 10 on board including crew. She will also comfortably sleep 6 with ease in 3 sleeping areas.
1. A forward V Berth with 4 bunk
2. A double side bunk
3. The versatility of the saloon dining area being able to fold down into a double bed sleeping area.
She has an open bulkhead from the saloon to the cockpit allowing for ease of interaction for the crew and anglers.

All day trips are also fully catered for with morning tea, lunch, afternoon and refreshment.
Linen & towelling is supplied.
Fishing tackle and bait are included – excluding Fly fishing rods and reels.

Bounty Hunter is moored at D1 Marlin Marina Cairns, at the base of the Great Barrier Reef prime Black Marlin fishing grounds of the Ribbons Reef. Bounty Hunter has a practical yet fully live aboard lay out allowing for extended outer reef fishing charters.
Heavy Tackle Black Marlin fishing is what Bounty Hunter does best & was designed for, giving those on board a once in a life time fishing opportunity.
Bounty Hunter has an extensive range of the latest fishing tackle, lures, riggs and equipment to allow for the best opportunity in catching these legends of the sea.
Sport & Game Fishing
As a locally Cairns owned & run vessel Bounty Hunter is able to fish all year round.
From January through to August, Bounty Hunter fills her fishing list with the delights of the sea such as Juvenile Black Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin Fish, Mackerel, Giant Trevally & Tuna.
Bounty Hunter also is versatile with her style of fishing from Trolling to Popper Chucking.

Bounty Hunter is proud to be part of the Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club and works within the guidelines of State, National and International bodies to ensure that all game fish caught are Tagged & Released where possible; Or if caught under tournament conditions that they are eligible to be recognised as records if the chance arises.
